Aim High

Introduction
Aim High is a documentary produced by the Xinhua News Agency's Paris 2024 Olympic reporting team. Over two and a half years, Xinhua journalists followed six athletes from four emerging sports, capturing their growth stories and the journey of these trendy sports from free expression to national pride. In August 2016, skateboarding, surfing, and sport climbing were added as Olympic events. In December 2020, breakdancing was officially included in the Paris 2024 Games. These once-niche sports have sparked new trends, with a new generation of Chinese youth, born after 2000, stepping onto the path of their dreams.
